Workshops for 2023

Join me for a Goldwork Embroidery Workshop at Sunnycroft National Trust property in Wellington Shropshire
This workshop is for Goldwork embroidery - choose from a range of kits suitable for all levels - for complete beginners there are the Crowns - available in either purple or red, then we have the owls - choose from either Gilderoy or Silvester, next is the Rose - inspired by Sunnycroft and finally for those who are experienced in Goldwork there is Coronation Inspiration - inspired by the coronation robe of Queen Elizabeth II.

During this workshop you'll learn goldwork techniques such as couching, padding and chip work and learn how to apply a number of materials such as pearl purl, kid, bright check and jap.

So if you've ever wanted to try your hand at goldwork embroidery - then this workshop is the perfect one for you!

The workshop costs £86 and includes:

• A kit of all materials with full detailed step by step instructions.

• Expert tuition by Amanda Carter.

• Opportunity to view some of Sunnycrofts wonderful embroidery collection.

• Use of additional equipment such as hoops and scissors.

• A delicious lunch and tea or coffee

If you've previously attended a workshop with me and haven't completed your kit (maybe you haven't had time, you've forgotten how to work your stitches and you just need some more help, then you can still attend a relaxing sewing day at Sunnycroft - just choose 'Returning Stitcher' on the ticket option.

'Returning Stitcher' workshop costs £55 and includes:

• Expert tuition by Amanda Carter.

• Opportunity to view some of Sunnnycrofts wonderful embroidery collection.

• Use of additional equipment such as hoops and scissors.

• A delicious lunch and tea or coffee.  

 

The workshop is held in the beautiful rooms at Sunnycroft where Joan Lander herself taught - a perfect tranquil place to stitch.

For this workshop you can choose any crewel embroidery, creative embroidery or goldwork embroidery kit from my website. 

So whether you want to stitch a Blue Jay Feather, an Autumn Fern, a Purple Leaf Triplet or a Green Leaf - then this workshop is for you!

Please specify which kit when booking (e.g. spring fern)
