Gilderoy the Owl Goldwork Embroidery Kit.

This is Gilderoy the Owl who is worked in traditional goldwork embroidery.

This beautiful kit contains all materials and full detailed step by step instructions to produce this lovely design of a cheeky little owl called Gilderoy.

Learn a number of traditional goldwork techniques such as padding, couching and chip work. Learn how to apply materials such as pearl purl, twist, jap and kid.

This kit includes:

Hand dyed cotton with the design painted on is already layered up onto the calico backing fabric.

Imitation jap,

Twist,

Pearl purl,

Bright check,

Gold kid,

Beads and rhinestones

Beeswax,

 4 inch Hoop.

Also includes: sewing thread, metallic thread, felt, needles, ribbon for hanging, stitch plan, 'How to ...' goldwork stitch guide and full detailed illustrated step by step instructions.

You can work the design in the hoop provided, but you may find it easier to work it in  a larger hoop first, then transfer to the small hoop once completed.
