This is Aubrey the Owl who is worked in traditional goldwork embroidery.

This beautiful kit contains all materials and full detailed step by step instructions to produce this lovely design of a cheeky little owl called Aubrey.

Aubrey is a great introduction to traditional goldwork embroidery, covering the 2 fundamental techniques of couching and chip work. Learn how to apply materials such as bright check, twist and jap.

Cotton with the design painted on is already layered up onto the heavy cotton backing fabric.

 4 inch Hoop.

You can work the design in the hoop provided, but you may find it easier to work it in  a larger hoop first, then transfer to the small hoop once completed.
