Silvester the Owl Goldwork Embroidery Kit.

This is Silvester the Owl who is worked in traditional goldwork embroidery.

This beautiful kit contains all materials and full detailed step by step instructions to produce this lovely design of a cheeky little owl called Silvester. 

Silvester is Gilderoys brother - this time worked in silver coloured metal threads, with Silvester you expand on the techniques you learnt with Gilderoy - Silvesters wings are more complicated as they feature areas of cut work which requires precision cutting and application.

Continue your goldwork journey with techniques such as padding, couching, chip work and cutwork. Learn how to apply materials such as pearl purl, twist, jap, kid and smooth purl.

Hand dyed cotton with the design painted on is already layered up onto the calico backing fabric.

 4 inch Hoop.

You can work the design in the hoop provided, but you may find it easier to work it in  a larger hoop first, then transfer to the small hoop once completed.
