Coronation Inspiration Goldwork Embroidery Kit.

This is my Coronation Inspiration kit worked in traditional goldwork embroidery.

This beautiful kit contains all materials and full detailed step by step instructions to produce this lovely design which is inspired by the Imperial Coronation Robe of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Imperial Coronation Robe was worn by the Queen at the conclusion of her coronation, it was 6.5metres long and took 12 seamstresses from the Royal School of Needlework 3,500 hours to complete.

This kit uses a number of traditional goldwork techniques such as padding, couching and chip work. Learn how to apply materials such as pearl purl, twist, jap, spangles, smooth purl and kid.

Also includes: sewing thread, needles, stitch plan, 'How to ...' goldwork stitch guide and full detailed, illustrated, step by step instructions.

You will need an 8 inch embroidery hoop to work your design in, also sharp embroidery scissors and goldwork scissors for cutting the metal threads. 

The finished piece is approximately 3 1/2 x 5 inches
